Bianchi Café & Cycles

brunch västerås IMG_15150_fotor

Even though Bianchi felt more like a cafeteria than a cosy cafe, David and I enjoyed our brunch there yesterday. I wouldn’t recommend it as a good vegetarian brunch place, but if you eat fish, and especially if you eat meat they had a very good selection on their buffet. Not sure why they call it brunch either, since it goes on between 12.00 and 15.0o, but I guess it’s a Sunday thing. Either way, they had lots of cool bikes around, the place was quite full and the atmosphere good!

Now it’s time to hit the bed! The first day of the internship has been exciting, but it’s tiring to soak in all new expressions! Sweet dreams out there! xx

McBook Pro

No more HP for me because yesterday I got myself a retina MacBook Pro! I thought it was time to enter the Apple world all-in, and I’m already loving it! It’s so smooth to use and the high pixel screen makes it amazing to watch Netflix on! And of course, it will also be great to write my upcoming school report on, and other work!

Today is the day  before my 10 week-long internship/work experience starts, that I will practice at Länsförsäkringar Bergslagen – a Swedish insurance company and bank. My main project for these weeks is to create an introduction guide that aim to introduce new employees to the company, and effectively get them on board. To start new work is proved to be one of the most anxious times of people’s work lives experiences, and therefore I hope that a well made introduction plan can help to ease this process, both for the new employees, but of course also for the employer. Today is almost all about getting ready for tomorrow – I will go to the library, do some study and prepare for tomorrow morning’s meeting.

I will also try to enjoy this Sunday with my Kiwi of course. The other day we spotted a Bianchi Café & Cycles only fifteen minutes away from our house. Since Kiwi is a fan of bikes this place got stuck on his mind and we will pay it a visit later on – Italian Coffee here we come! xx

The Sporty Barbie, The Crow and The Sleepy Barbie

This is how pretty Frida, Hanne and I were at this weekends Holloween Party! It’s been two great nights of laughter and craziness, and of course lots of good costumes! It’s cool to see the creativity that Halloween brings out of people!

Now it’s time to enjoy the last hours of this weekend with David while watching Friends and having taco pie for dinner! xx

Hello and good morning! A new week is here and over in our home the music is already pumping even though it is not even seven yet. Reason – David is getting ready for the gym and I like to play DJ. I cannot get enough of Blame with Calvin Harris feat. John Newman.

The past weeks have been running on so fast. I have had the pleasure to spend time with David’s wonderful family. We had sunny and warm days both in Stockholm and here in Västerås. I was terribly bad at taking pictures when they were here – shame on me! Above is a funny one though on Julia and Kurt in action getting breakfast at my parents house.

School has been very hectic. At the moment we are studying equality and diversity management (very Swedish Dave thinks) and I find it so interesting! I could definitely see myself working with these kind of questions in the future.

As a result of the busy study days the sugar intake has been ridiculously high! Not good! But you know what, that’s what Mondays are for – new starts! I feel a healthier and better week is ahead! Now let’s gett this monday starting  – school books and fibre oat porridge coming up! xx

The first cold morning

good morning

Woke up this morning and saw the sunshine working its way through the blinds. I put my morning gown on and went out to take a picture, and like expected it was freezing out there – only one degree! Now I am on the train on my way to Örebro for school and studies! The long autumn coat is on for the first time this season. It’s kind of cosy! xx
