I’m filling in to guest post for Lisa today as she’s busy studying super hard for an exam later this week (don’t worry – she’ll be back soon!).
I love it when beautiful design meets amazing performance, especially when it comes to gadgets and toys. My AIAIAI TMA-1 (€180) headphones are a perfect example of this – these Danish headphones come in a sleek matt black finish and have no tacky external brands or labels – kind of like the anti-Beats by Dre’s. More than just a pretty package, the TMA-1’s sound amazing and have a veritable ‘who’s who’ of fans choosing to use them professionally in the DJing world, including personal favourites like Luciano, Carl Craig and 2MANYDJS. I may not be a DJ (Lisa actually says I look like a pilot when wearing them) but these are firmly on my head for hours everyday which is about as big a vote of approval as I can give to a pair of headphones.
I’ve been looking for a decent case for my Macbook Air but it’s been a struggle to find something I like. Afterall, the Air is beautifully designed and very thin so it feels like a waste to carry it around in some big old nylon case like some boring business laptop from the mid ’90s. The Grab Laptop folio bag £178 by HardGraft, a London based company that specialises in luxury leather accessaries for tech products, is not one of those old bags. Handmade of Italian leather and German felt it’s just the right size to protect a Macbook along with some books or an ipad while still staying true to the computers sleek dimensions. Lisa take note – this one’s going to be on my wish list.
