As like so many other people I turn to my poor fingers tips when I am nervous, stressed, upset or bored, and I have been for as long as I can remember.  A couple of weeks ago it got a bit out of hand though. Because of my intensive biting and scratching my ring-finger on the right hand swollen to almost the double size of my other ring-finger. I couldn’t bend it, and I couldn’t even touch it without it being extremely painful. My nail on that finger now looks like a piece of melt down plastic. Sounds pretty attractive huh?

I have now decided once and for all to STOP this nasty habit! And I look forward to being able to wear nail polish one day without being embarrassed over my red and swollen finger tips.

To help myself with this I’ll use Stop and Grow (a bad tasting liquid that I’ll put on the nails and the skin around it) and I will also wear my Michael Jackson cotton gloves at night together with lots of fatty lotion to soften up the dry and chapped areas.

Wish me luck! As soon as I see good results I’ll show you =)
